TOUGHKids Phildelphia

The ToughKids Philly Youth Triathlon is being run in conjuction with the French Creek Triathlon and part of the ToughKids Race Series.

The ToughKids Philly Triathlon is open to all boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 14 as of 12/31/18.

The top 3 boys and girls in each specific age will qualify for the ToughKids Championship at Harriman State Park, NY.

Parking will be available in the lower lot at the park. Overflow lot is located up the hill, at the park swimming pool. NO RACERS, SPECTATORS, WORKERS, SPONSORS, OR VOLUNTEERS MAY PARK ON ANY GRASS. ANYONE CAUGHT PARKING ON GRASS WILL BE SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE RACE.

French Creek State Park has many quality lodging options from campsites to modern cabins. For reservations, please visit If no lodging remains on site, please contact for additional availability.

***Cell phone reception is very hit or miss at the park, so please don't count on it. The address of the park office is 843 Park Road, Elverson, PA 19520. You can also Google Hopewell Lake - the (southwest) boat ramp is very close to our transition area.

Custom awards will be given for the top three winners of all age groups - 4-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14.

Though many races don't allow Race Day Registration, we always have, and will continue to do so! Available from 10AM- 11:30AM on Saturday Morning, Race Day Registration will be $55 for each age group.

SAT 10:30AM - 11:30AM Kid's Packet pickup.
SAT 12PM - Kid's race start ages 4-6.
SAT ~12:40PM (20 minutes after ages 4-6 finish), start ages 7-10.
SAT ~1:20PM (20 minutes after ages 7-10 finish), start ages 11-14.
SAT ~2:15PM ToughKids Awards Ceremony.

Course Maps

4-6 Year Olds: There is a 20 meter, point to point swim, directly off shore of the lake, shown here. All 4-6 year olds will require an adult escort on the swim, with the child the entire duration of the swim. The adult should come prepared to be at least waist deep in the water with their child.
7-10 Year Olds: One, 100 meter loop, in the lake.
11-14 Year Olds: Two, 100 meter loops, in the lake.

4-6 Year Olds: One 200 meter out and back
7-10 Year Olds: One, 2 mile loop
11-14 Year Olds: Two, 2 mile loops (4 miles total)

4-6 Year Olds: One 100 meter out and back
7-10 Year Olds: One 0.5 mile loop (0.5 miles total)
11-14 Year Olds: Two 0.5 mile loops (1 mile total)
